The Tyler Junior College Athletics Department is seeking a creative, innovative, and driven professional to serve as the Assistant Athletic Director of Communications & Content. This position is responsible for elevating the department's brand through compelling visual storytelling and strategic digital communication. Primary responsibilities include designing high-quality graphics using Adobe Creative Suite, managing and enhancing the athletics website, expanding the department's social media presence, and producing engaging digital content that promotes Tyler Junior College Athletics, its student-athletes, coaches, and programs. A strong emphasis is placed on graphic design, brand consistency, creativity, and the ability to deliver dynamic content across multiple platforms.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Graphic Design, Sports Management, or a related field
Required Experience
Three years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Preferred Education
Master’s Degree in Communications, Graphic Design, Sports Management, Public Relations, or a related field
Additional Preferred Job-Specific Skills
Experience in athletic administration, collegiate or professional, and or related environment
Experience in desktop publishing (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, etc.), knowledge and prior use of content management systems (CMS)- preferably like Presto Sports or Sidearm
Candidates should have a basic understanding of and be comfortable operating in the world of athletics, sports statistics, and video production.
An understanding of both NJCAA & NCAA rules and regulations.
Tyler Junior College is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and home to 70 National Championships. The Athletics department at Tyler Junior College plays an integral role in the success of student-athletes and is widely recognized as one of the premier two-year intercollegiate athletic departments in the nation. TJC serves over 300 student athletes each year, spanning across 12 sports including football, men's & women's soccer, women's volleyball, men's & women's basketball, baseball, softball, men's & women's tennis, and men's & women's golf.
