Lindsey Wilson University, located in Columbia, Kentucky, is seeking applicants for an Assistant Sports Information Director position. Lindsey Wilson, a member of the Mid-South Conference and the NAIA, sponsors twenty-eight sports and has 800+ student-athletes participating in the various programs.
Duties include, but not limited to game management, developing media guides, collecting statistical data, writing press releases, managing athletics website, working at special events and other duties as assigned by the Sports Information Director and Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Communications.
A Bachelor’s Degree is required. Experience with industry-standard software, including statistical programs (PrestoStats and Genius LiveStats), website content management systems (SideArm and Presto), Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and social media platforms. The individual must demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills while effectively managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will possess attention to detail, creativity, and proficiency with sports information, statistical, graphic design, web, and social media platforms. They must be able to work independently and collaboratively, maintain professionalism under pressure, and adapt to changing priorities and event schedules. A commitment to promoting student-athletes and athletic programs through accurate, engaging, and timely content is essential, along with a thorough understanding of intercollegiate athletics and media relations.
