Wofford College is accepting applications for three external internships for the 2025-26 academic year. Two (2) are focusing on athletic communications, while one (1) will focus on creative content/marketing.

The athletics communications candidates will assist in all daily operations of the Athletic Communications Department and will be responsible for working as the primary media contact for at least three sports, including men’s basketball and softball. The individuals will also assist with game-day duties at all other sports. Strong writing and communications skills, along with a working knowledge of Statcrew, NCAA LiveStats, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and social media in a PC environment required.  Experience with SIDEARM websites is helpful, as is social media graphics and video. A bachelor’s degree and prior experience of at least one year in a sports information/athletic media relations office is required. Evening and weekend hours are required in this position.

The creative content/marketing candidate will assist in working with all Athletic Department social media accounts. This will include the overall department accounts, along with working with coaches and support staff on individual sport accounts. The individual will create content with the graphic design and video services staffs, track social media engagement, create editorial calendars, and manage the overall digital content strategy. There will also be additional game-day duties as assigned. Strong writing and communications skills, along with a working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and social media/video in a PC environment required. Experience with SIDEARM websites is helpful. A bachelor’s degree and prior experience of at least one year in a marketing/sports information/creative content office is required. Evening and weekend hours are required in this position.

COMPENSATION: A stipend will be provided, along with a campus meal plan when dining halls are open. Benefits are not included. Start date for the position is August 2025 and will last until May 31, 2026.
