This is a two-year position and includes tuition remission for six (6) credits per academic semester and a $10,000 stipend per academic year.

The Angelo State Athletic Communications department is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a graduate assistant. The individual will be a member of the ASU Athletics external team and provide support to help promote the Rams and Rambelles 15 NCAA Division II intercollegiate athletic programs. Candidate must be admitted into a postgraduate degree program at Angelo State University.
Job Function:
Tasks include covering assigned sports, assisting with live streams for all home events, performing website maintenance on AngeloSports.com, contributing to a department-wide social media strategy, writing press releases, photography, graphic design, and compiling statistics as needed.
Individual must show the ability and desire to work independently on projects and be able to commit to providing extensive game coverage throughout the year.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of one year of experience in sports media relations or a related field required, preferably at the collegiate level.
Strong verbal and written communication
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet expected deadlines.
Effective time management
Ability to work evenings/weekends and maintain a flexible work
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Experience working with live streams (FloSports, Hudl, production truck, etc.) is a plus.
