The Graduate Assistant will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience working on our campus while pursuing either a Master of Arts in Intercollegiate Athletic Leadership degree or a Master of Arts in Higher Education Leadership degree at Messiah University. The priority deadline to apply is February 15, 2025.
This is a two-year, 20 hours/week, appointment not to exceed 800 hours/year. Commitment runs from approximately August 4th – May 18th each of the two years. Education required: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required; acceptance into one of the graduate degrees (Master of Arts in Intercollegiate Athletic Leadership or the Master of Arts in Higher Education Leadership) at Messiah University is required. Special working conditions: Occasional weekend and evening hours as priorities demand. Christian faith commitment required.

Our annual Graduate Assistant Recruitment Days (GARD) begin with a dinner on Sunday, March 3 at 5:30 pm and run through Monday, March 4, 2025. During GARD, you will have a series of interviews with graduate assistant supervisors, Higher Education program faculty, and meet our Dean of Students and the Athletic Director. We are happy to provide you with meals while you are here and lodging with a current graduate student, if you are interested. We ask that you cover the expense of your own travel to and from our campus.
