The Marian University Office of Athletic Communications is seeking a qualified graduate assistant. Marian University sponsors 22 sports at the NCAA Division III level along with four club-level sports. This two-year graduate assistant position will include tuition reimbursement and a stipend. The chosen candidate will gain experience in a diverse range of sports information skills. Weekend and night work will be required.
Assist the Director of Athletic Communications with the promotion and publicity of all 22 NCAA Division III sports and four club sports.
Serve as the primary contact for specific sports as assigned by the Director of Athletic Communications
Assist with updating the athletics website, sabreatheltics.com
Write and edit press releases, game stories, and student-athlete features
Assist with training student-workers and assuming gameday roles as needed
Develop and execute strategic plans for Marian University Athletics' social media platforms to include graphics and video content
Operate computer programs, including Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, NCAA Live Stats, Presto Stats, and Stat Crew
