The East Coast Conference, an NCAA Division II athletic conference located in West Babylon, N.Y., is seeking an individual to serve as the conference's Director of Strategic Communications. This is a full-time 12-month position with benefits. The anticipated start date is August 1, 2023.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Serve as the conference’s sports information contact for all sports, championships, and special events
Responsible for daily collection of results, news, and ECC Daily Scoreboard
Responsible for daily maintenance and updates for ECC Website including writing and publishing content
Produce content for the East Coast Conference social media platforms including designing graphics for the conference's weekly and yearly award programs
Set up and produce multi-camera broadcasts at East Coast Conference championships
Coordinate All-Conference balloting with league’s coaches including facilitating coaches meetings, tallying votes, and promoting through different media outlets
Work with outside awards company to manage orders for All-Conference and special award plaques
Assist with monitoring compliance of conference branding policies and initiatives;
Work with the Associate Commissioner to develop an annual public relations plan including specific initiatives, activities, and success markers for each academic year
Attend special events as required
Assist with East Coast Conference SAAC initiatives
May serve as conference’s Senior Woman Administrator
Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Located in the general footprint of the conference membership
Ability to successfully work remotely
Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud software, including Photoshop/Illustrator to create graphics and videos, Hudl TV's Production Truck live streaming software, content management systems (preferably on a Sidearm website), and a basic understanding of writing according to AP style guidelines.
