Assistant Athletic Director/Communications
Impact & Responsibilities: Creates compelling content as well as plans, organizes, directs and oversees all communications staff; assigns or writes releases for primary sports, publicity materials for athletic events, sports news and feature article copy; responsible for budget decisions regarding athletic communications; directs and assists researching and disseminating information regarding potential news stories; works with local, regional and national media to place stories; assists with department's marketing and promotion initiatives; generates, executes and collaborates on social media plans for assigned sports; supervises full-time and student media relations staff; maintains and enhances athletics website including video and audio streaming of athletics events;
