Transylvania University invites applications for the full-time position of Assistant Athletic Director for Communications & Media.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; providing media relations support; writing, editing, programs, publications, feature stories, and press releases; organizing video efforts including streaming, highlights, etc.; recording and distributing statistics; maintaining the athletic website; submitting conference and NCAA nominations and all requested information; inputting NCAA sport rosters, schedules, and results; providing oversight of Assistant Director, hired personnel to work games as well as student workers; and other duties as assigned by the Vice President/Director of Athletics. This is a full-time twelve-month appointment with benefits and a salary commensurate with experience.

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in a related field (master's degree preferred). The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of sports information experience or related field with a working knowledge of Adobe In Design, Adobe Photo Shop, Presto, Stat Crew software and Sidearm. Candidates must communicate effectively with internal and external constituents; possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills and a willingness to work as a team in a collaborative environment.
