The associate director of athletics communications will serve as the primary media contact for the men’s basketball program, as well as a tertiary contact for the football program. He/She will work closely with the men's basketball head coach, assistant coaches and student-athletes while serving as the primary daily liaison with local and national media. The associate director position will be responsible for maintaining the men’s basketball social media accounts (@AlabamaMBB), generating content ideas and help with program’s brand management. Among other day-to-day duties include, writing and designing media guides, record books and game notes, as well as coordinating player and coach interviews, producing press releases and generating story ideas and features.
