POSITION SUMMARY

A Graduate Assistantship is now available in the Manhattanville College Athletic Communications Department. The positions are designed for two years of study, subject to maintaining a 3.0 GPA, at which point the graduate assistant should have a completed master’s degree. 

Position Overview: The qualified applicant will report directly to the director of athletic communications and will assist with all aspects of game day operations and communications/marketing efforts. These include, but are not limited to, written content, social media, video productions and marketing efforts for all 28 of Manhattanville College’s varsity athletic programs. The successful candidate will also assist with the management and updating of GoValiants.com, serve as the official statistician for various home contests, and assist in the supervision of the department’s student staffers.

• Ability to effectively communicate with student-athletes, coaches, athletic and college administration.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Valid US Driver’s License

Hiring is contingent upon acceptance into a qualified Master’s Program at Manhattanville College

Physical Demands/Other Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including knowledge of AP Style writing
• Expertise in Microsoft Office
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
• Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds, as well as extensively walk and stand

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with collegiate athletic website services (SIDEARM, Presto, etc.)
• Experience with statistical programs (StatCrew, PrestoStats, GENIUS NCAA Live Stats, etc.)
