Atlantic Hockey Association/College Hockey America Staff Assistant

The Atlantic Hockey Association is seeking qualified candidates for its Staff Assistant position that would assist with aspects of communications, marketing and operations for Atlantic Hockey and College Hockey America.

Duties

Reporting to the Associate Commissioner for Media Relations and Operations, this position will assist with social media efforts across all platforms for both leagues, production of weekly releases and award releases, records research, postseason tournament operations for both leagues and other duties as assigned. This position will serve as the graphic design and video lead for the AHA and CHA.

Evening and weekend work will be required.

Essential Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field.

Undergraduate experience working in a college athletics department (athletics communications or marketing preferred) or conference office.

Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and video editing software.

Expertise in creating graphics and video for social media purposes.

Strong writing and editing skills.

Familiarity with the AHA, CHA and college hockey is preferred but not required.

Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects across multiple departments.

Ability to work nights and weekends.

Term

The position term will run from August 1, 2022 through April 30, 2023 with work taking place at the Atlantic Hockey office, located at 220 Winthrop Street, Suite 201, Winthrop, Mass. 02152 This position will travel to both the Atlantic Hockey and CHA postseason tournaments. There is also the possibility of additional off-site work for this role.

Hours

Maximum of 32 hours per week.

Stipend

$2,000 per month.
