Lead all aspects of publicizing the Conference through all media platforms including, but not limited to, promotion and

publicity of all WAC programs and events.

Implement strategic planning of regular season coverage, championship planning, cultivation of relationships with

external media, increasing social media awareness and followers, postseason media strategies and maintaining consistent communication with campus SIDs and other duties related to the promotion of all Conference-sponsored sports.

Respectfully maintain and enhance the current positive working relationships with internal and external constituents of the conference; and build upon it through fostering staff networking with media/communication/constituent partners.

Candidate must have strong knowledge of social media platforms and trends to work collaboratively with internal/external constituents to increase awareness and followers

Serve as primary Conference spokesperson and contact for all media requests.

Collaborate with broadcasting and social media on the planning, coordination and implementation of the

Conference’s Football Media Day and Basketball Preview Days. Media coverage and branding to include strategic

media planning focused on maintaining and increase national and local exposure.

Direct oversight of the Assistant Director, Media Relations and the Communications Intern positions.

Primary media contact for select sports.

Collaborate internally to ensure all sponsor fulfillment initiatives are being upheld as it relates to print, digital and

broadcast assets, website and deliverables.

Oversight of the partnership with the Conference’s website provider and its contractual agreement.

Serve on the Conference’s Basketball Championship leadership team.

Travel to select championships and events to oversee media coverage.

The position performs other duties as assigned by the Commissioner and/or Sr. Associate Commissioner, Internal

Operations.
