The Director of Digital Media/Broadcasting will report directly to the Assistant Commissioner of New Media and job will focus on:

1. Social and digital media content creation
2. Broadcasting and production oversight

Oversee the social media, digital media, and broadcasting development of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference brand through the league’s broadcasting platforms such as ESPN+, ESPN3, and MAAC.TV, and the various forms of new and social media, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram.

1. Serves as the MAAC primary contact for social and digital media and serve as the primary broadcasting and production contact for the MAAC with ESPN and MAAC member institutions.

1. Develop, create and manage the production of digital content including graphics, short/long form video, GIFS, and intro/hype videos, highlighting and promoting MAAC institutions, teams, student-athletes, and coaches.

1. Create daily/weekly content for MAAC social media channels and MAAC video outlets, including but not limited to weekly recap videos, feature stories, championship previews, ticket sales, interviews with student-athletes/coaches, education pieces (NIL, Mental Health), SAAC initiatives, and other new content

1. Assists in coordinating the conference office’s social media strategies, including but not limited to building the MAAC’s presence on a variety of social media platforms and coordinating conference’s message on such platforms.

1. Oversee the video creation and distribution for preseason award videos, and postseason award videos, including content creation and coordination of member schools video submissions, highlights and photos of student-athletes, and voice overs.

1. Create all MAAC commercial spots including but not limited to MAAC Institutional, MAAC Basketball, MAAC SAAC, MAAC Social Justice, etc.

1. Serve as the conference liaison to the MAAC’s ESPN Conference reps and school production contacts. Deliver broadcast schedules to ESPN during each season.

1. Oversee MAAC broadcasting including ESPN3 and ESPN+ school productions, MAAC Championship broadcast operations and MAAC.TV network, as well as oversight of championship broadcasts by host institutions and award show broadcasts.

1. Oversight of the MAAC Basketball Championship broadcasts including all coordination of equipment, towing, scheduling, production assistants, and production elements.

1. Oversight of the MAAC Basketball ESPNU Flex Package, the MAAC Men’s Lacrosse League ESPNU package, and the Basketball Preseason & Postseason Awards Shows broadcasts.

1. Oversee the league’s video streaming MAAC.TV site, including the negotiation of production contracts with Sidearm, international streaming scheduling and coordination, and procurement and distribution of necessary hardware and software. Work with institutions to secure proper production crew staffing for each MAAC Championship per revised bylaws and oversee and assist league institutions with the implementation of a conference video portal that runs through MAACSports.com for swimming and indoor championships, Twitch for esports.

1. Coordinate execution of broadcasts for events held at ESPN Disney Sports Attractions on ESPN+ and ESPN3.

1. Assist with the production of ESPNU broadcasts (basketball/lacrosse) on-site with the conference’s production company. Serve as the liaison to MAAC member institutions, MAAC Staff, and the production crew to organize all broadcast operations.

1. Serve as the MAAC staff point of contact about production issues and policies.

1. Oversee the distribution of weekly and championship ESPN Linear and Digital Network links to MAAC institutions.

1. Oversight of ESPN commercial inventory and distribution to school’s production contacts.

1. Oversee the maintenance of video storage, organization, and library.

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred, and 3-5 years of experience working in college athletics or professional sports in the related fields of marketing, communications, and/or digital media. Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, video production, Microsoft Word and Excel. Strong working knowledge and demonstrated experience with social media, graphic design, HTML coding and video production. Excellent video/photography shooting and editing skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage time and details in a fast-paced environment. In depth knowledge of all current and emerging social media platforms, algorithms and operating systems. Ability to work long hours including days, nights and weekends.
