• The Assistant Director, Content & Administration will provide support to multiple areas of the Conference’s operation, including communications, championships, office operations and general administration.
• Serve as a member of the conference’s Content Team and assist in the development and execution of its overall content strategy.
• Serve as the primary communications for select sports with responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, working as the primary liaison with media relations contacts, writing press releases, championship preparation and coverage and administering athletic and academic awards programs in those sports.
• Provide project support to the Content Team and related areas, including but not limited to, assisting with executing social media and digital strategy, website maintenance, updating record books and compiling data and analytics (e.g. social media channels, website, ESPN broadcast information, sponsorship data).
• Assist with the general support and coordination of sport administration and championships, including but not limited to the conference gifts and awards programs, maintenance of signage and championship inventory, and preparation for an on-site support for championships.
• Assist with general office management and meeting planning.
• Assist with the conference’s student-athlete engagement initiatives.
• Assist the Commissioner and members of Conference’s management team on special projects and other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Prior work experience in intercollegiate or professional athletics required.
• Prior work experience in intercollegiate or professional athletic communications preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required.
• Ability to effectively work with internal and external colleagues required.
• Demonstrated ability to in a collaborative and creative environment required.
• Proficiency in working in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required. Experience working in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere) preferred.
• Travel and evening and weekend work is occasionally required.
• The Conference currently offers a flexible work structure; however, a successful candidate will be required to work in person at the Conference office in Boston, MA at least two days a week. These policies are subject to change.
