Job Description Summary: Reporting to the Associate Director of Athletics, the Sports
Information Director is responsible for keeping statistical records, promoting, publicizing, and
celebrating CU student athletes and coaches endeavors and accomplishments. This is a full-time
position with the expectation to work nights and weekends in an overall balanced work week and
year.
Carolina University has nine varsity sports and is a member of NCCAA Division I – South.

Job Description
Essential Functions:

• Provide leadership for game day support and assistance for all home games
  • Obtain all external support staff
  • Coordinate livestream and live stat programs
  • Assist and coordinate game management supervision
• Complete live stats for all nine varsity sports
• Submit box scores to appropriate entities
• Interview, hire, assign, train, and supervise all student workers
• Coordinate with other SIDs for visiting teams
• Manage and oversee the athletics website to include posting schedules, rosters, and post-game articles
• Actively post and maintain a social media presence on all major platforms
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Some experience in Sports Information at the collegiate level
• Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and non-verbal communication
• Strong general computer, software, technology and specific database management skills
• Proven ability to be organized, multi-task effectively, prioritize emerging tasks appropriately, work independently and within a collaborative team
• Strong managerial skills, will supervise a largely student work study staff to execute game operations
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and cultivate positive relationships
